Where Is Xur Today? (Nov. 12-16) – Destiny 2 Xur Location And Exotics Guide

by 4players

The most reliable way to get new, useful Exotics in Destiny 2 is Xur, but only if you drop by during his weekend visits to the solar system. That gives you just four days to seek out the Agent of the Nine and check out his inventory, which now also includes legendary weapons and armor to boost your loadouts. Here’s where you can find Xur this week and everything he’s offering.

Head to Nessus, to the Watcher’s Grave area, to find Xur this week. For his weapon, Xur is offering SUROS Regime. Hunters can pick up the Knucklehead Radar helmet; for Titans, there’s the Ashen Wake gauntlets; and for Warlocks, Xur has the Apotheosis Veil helmet.

In addition to his Exotics, Xur also has an inventory of Legendary weapons. The standout for the week is Xur’s Main Ingredient fusion rifle, which packs Rangefinder and Hip Fire Grip and a Stability Masterwork, making it a useful, if not stellar, roll. This is already a powerful fusion rifle, especially for PvP situations, and while Hip Fire and Rangefinder aren’t the best synergy, they give you perks whether you want to fire down the sights or snap off a quick shot–plus, this roll has some decent boosts to range as well.

You can also grab some Legendary armor from Xur, and this week he’s offering the Season of the Splicer’s Light Kin armor set. There’s not much to get excited about here, though; Hunters have a decent pair of gauntlets and Titans can get a high roll of 64 on a helmet, provided you’re looking for gear with high mobility. Warlocks, unfortunately, have no armor in Xur’s inventory that’s really worth snagging.

    Xur Location

Climb the big pink tree at the north end of Watcher's Grave on Nessus to find Xur.

Head to Nessus to find Xur this week. Hop on your sparrow after spawning in at the Watcher’s Grave transmat zone, and head north to the big pink tree at the far end of the area. When you arrive, climb up on the big branches reaching out over the area to find Xur hanging out in the canopy.

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 9 AM PT 12 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.

    Xur Exotic Items

This week, Xur brings you SUROS Regime, a solid auto rifle for your PvP needs. The gun offers two different fire modes, spinning up faster as you hold the trigger down to increase its fire rate as you use it, or offering a slower, higher-impact mode if you aim down the sights, giving you some options in a fight. If you’re not a fan of his other options, Xur also sells an Exotic engram that will decrypt into an Exotic you don’t already own. Just note that you can only buy one per week, and the engram is specific to the character class who buys it–so if you’re trying to get a new Titan helmet, don’t buy the engram with your Warlock. He also has the new Xenology Quest, which rewards an Exotic Cipher you can use to purchase Exotics from either Xur or the Tower’s Monument to Lost Lights. The quest requires you to either complete Strikes or win matches in Gambit and the Crucible.

    • Exotic Engram — 97 legendary shards
    • SUROS Regime — 29 legendary shards
    • Knucklehead Radar — 23 legendary shards
    • Ashen Wake — 23 legendary shards
    • Apotheosis Veil — 23 legendary shards
    • Xenology quest — free
    • Legendary weapons and armor — 50 legendary shards, 1,000 Glimmer

Alongside changes in his location, Xur’s inventory also rotates weekly. That means it’s worth visiting him each time to check out his new weapons and rolls on Exotic and Legendary armor. You can visit him any time between his arrival Friday and the weekly reset at 9 AM PT 12 PM ET the following Tuesday when Xur departs the solar system.

    Suros Regime (Auto Rifle)

SUROS Regime is a great auto rifle for any occasion, but it's well-loved in the Crucible for dealing solid damage and its chance to heal you on kills.

When the meta favors auto rifles, SUROS Regime is among the favorites. The gun sees some solid benefits in the Crucible in particular–the bottom half of the magazine does bonus damage, and kills you earn have a chance to heal you, as well. In addition to that, the rifle has two fire modes. One gives you an increased rate of fire the longer you hold down the trigger, making it quicker and easier to kill the longer you’re firing at people. The other gives you a slower rate of fire when you aim down the sights, but with increased damage. Weapon tweaks coming with the Bungie 30th Anniversary content release in December should make SUROS even more useful, so if you don’t have one yet, you might want to pick this up.

    Knucklehead Radar (Hunter)

If your PvP build doesn't require another Exotic, Knucklehead Radar is a great option for the Crucible.

Knowledge is power in the Crucible, something a lot of players don’t often remember. Knucklehead Radar demonstrates this, making you a formidable opponent in PvP by giving you more information than your opponents. The helmet maintains your radar while you’re aiming and gives you enhanced radar when you crouch, allowing you to anticipate enemy movements more easily–and ambush them. If you don’t have another Crucible Exotic for your build, Knucklehead Radar is a decent fallback, and it’ll help you increase your kill count. This particular version of the Exotic has a very peculiar stat roll, though, so you might want to avoid it unless you need it for your collection.

    Ashen Wake (Titan)

Get faster, deadlier fusion grenades more often with Ashen Wake.

Ashen Wake is one of those Exotics with a very specific function that’s great if your build synergizes with it. The gauntlets increase the throw speed of your fusion grenades, while also making them explode on impact and giving you grenade energy when your grenades land kills. If you’re hucking lots of grenades in PvP and PvE scenarios, Ashen Wake can help make them more effective and bring them back to you more quickly–just be sure you’re getting the most out of this when you add it to your build.

    • Resilience: 19
    • Recovery: 7

    Apotheosis Veil (Warlock)

Apotheosis Veil powers you up when you use your Super, keeping you alive and giving you all your abilities back whenever you use it.

In a lot of cases, firing off your Super can actually leave you very vulnerable and exposed. Apotheosis Veil is designed to help with that problem. It heals you when you cast your Super, while also refilling all your ability energy–and even giving a boost to class ability recharge for your nearby allies. That extra health and ability energy at a key moment can help turn the tides in a variety of activities, so for Intellect-heavy builds, Apotheosis Veil can be very helpful.
